This 1960s Northern California beach house was in rough shape but had great bones. It was originally built for a Japanese artist and his family on the foggy West Marin coast and took 3 years to build while the family camped on the land. This is our favorite kind of project, when we can combine a remodel with a highly sensitive restoration of a unique building, updating with the architect’s original intentions in mind.
